MOCSA. Metropolitan wide.

MOCSA is truly a metropolitan agency both in name and in reality. Our service area includes seven counties; Jackson, Platte, Clay and Cass counties in Missouri; and Johnson, Wyandotte and Miami counties in Kansas. Our 24-hour Crisis Line and services for sexual assault survivors and adult survivors of child sexual abuse are available to residents across the metro. Services for child victims of sexual abuse and their families are available for Missouri residents. In addition to services provided at our primary office location in midtown Kansas City, MO, we provide outreach counseling for adolescent and adult sexual assault victims in the Northland, Lee’s Summit, Prairie Village, Olathe, Overland Park, Paola, and Kansas City, KS (Click here for a map). We also provide specialized services to adolescent and adult offenders at off-site locations. We provide hospital advocacy at these locations.

Each year, our education programs targeting middle and high school students reach more than 25,000 youth in 30 area school districts. Thousands more are served through other educational programs. Project Aware, MOCSA's education program for students in pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, is offered to elementary schools in Missouri. Project Aware visits schools in more than 11 school districts and was offered to more than 15,000 elementary students last year.

Last year, our services reached more than 65,000 people.
