Services Available Following an Assault / Rape
Survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones can often benefit from outside intervention not only in the immediate aftermath of an incident, but days, weeks, months, or even years following an assault. MOCSA's sexual assault services include crisis line support, hospital advocacy, criminal justice, personal advocacy, individual short-term crisis intervention or short-term therapy, and support groups for both men and women, all at no charge. Multicultural counselors and advocates are available, including services available in Spanish. Interpreters will be provided for any language, spoken or signed. 24-Hour Crisis Line
A bi-state 24-hour anonymous hotline is answered by MOCSA staff and trained volunteers to provide emotional support, crisis intervention, information, referrals, and problem solving to victims of sexual violence, as well as their significant others. The line is open to anyone who has questions or issues related to sexual violence.

Advocacy
Trained advocates provide support and assistance to adolescent and adult rape and sexual assault victims during the forensic evidence collection exam at area emergency departments. MOCSA advocates also accompany victims to file an initial police report, during detective interviews, and throughout the court process. Counseling & Supportive Services
Survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones can benefit from crisis intervention in the days, months, or even years following an assault. Individual crisis intervention or short-term therapy sessions are available to adolescent and adult victims at a number of locations throughout the greater metropolitan area. MOCSA also provides support groups to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault or rape.
